This will count as my first official diary on Blogger. Yes? =P It'll be just another random and nonsense piece of writing, which probably, only Ran, my loyal reader, would mind enough to explore.I stumbled upon this photo while chatting with Ran. It was a chilly Wednesday in March while PC-san drove me around my town to find a suitable place for my Public Space's project. The first thought for an idealistic place was an unknown canal park that carved into my memory. It was so pretty and lovely there the day I saw it. Mom was driving around the area last summer to find a nice appartment for us, and she passed by a small but lovely town in Pittsford. There were a great variety of pretty old-style houses decorated by stones and bridges. There was a pretty town square hidden under a stone bridge. There were wisterias and flowers and green all tried to bloom to their fullest. There were shadows from huge trees along the road and dazzling sunbeams. It was so peaceful there that it simply left me in awe. I felt like little Chihiro going to find a quest. Yet, mom passed by an old green bridge then drove along the bank of the canal. And not until then that I could witness the most gorgeous live photo of the day.
It was an open area that having a lot of people gather around in a dazzy afternoon. I used to come to an old and touris-like town like that in Arkansas 3 years ago. It brought back a little bit chilling feeling of memory. As our car passes by the other bank, I still could see people venturing, walking, sitting around benches, drinking, and hear the noice they made vaguely. Their reflections were casted through the water adding more to the liveliness. There was also a tour boat floating around the shore. I really wanted to join them for a moment. And I thought I smelt BBQ. =P
Eventually, I never knew the place or had any chance later to learn about it. My mom didn't even recall of the street or its existence. We thought it was the lake. The impression reminded in me as an open coffee sitting place on the bank of some random lake. Apparently my memory turned the picture dazzlingly. But the feeling was still so nice now that I reminded of it.
At first we came to the Great Lake because the only thing that I remembered about the place is "the lake." I tried to google the map online and mistakenly thought that was the way. It was very windy yet nice there, but that was not what I was looking for. We technically spent the whole day to find an unknown place. Luckily, there was a really vague memory of one of the streets leading there. Then we spent some more hours around the area. Finally, the once familiar sceneries appeared again. I was so happy and excited as we passed through the pretty houses and roads. And at last, I found it! It was a chilly day thus no body was there. This time it felt different than my memory, but the scenery was still really breathtaking. It was something simple but elegant and peaceful. I tried to take photos of the place, though none of them can describe enough the real scene that I experienced there. Anyhow, this photo above was my favorite.
I enjoyed the driving really much. I always like to travel by car and look at sceneries through the windows. Driving trips never fail me to find out new and remarkable arts of nature. Each time is a fully new venture that I have never seen before. [I hope I can do this in Japan too!]

Just finished German final today. It was quite okay except for the fact that I returned my knowledge back to my teacher... It kinda scary to realize how much of other things I have forgotten while buried myself with art projects. There was just a little bit of sweating, hahah.
Today supposed to be my packing and cleaning day, yet... I guess I should start doing things now. I'm enjoying Teppei too much. Almost done with school.
Anzu.
